0301 - Basic Infantry Officer

The Entry-level 0300 MOS is a Basic MOS that serves as a place holder while entry level Marines complete MOS training.  Enlisted Marines entering the Occupational Field will receive MOS 0300, Basic Infantry Marine, while participating in their respective formal schools.  Marines can enter any of the primary enlisted MOS's in the 03 occupational field.  Most commonly, this is the MOS borne by Marines at The School of Infantry.
