The Marine Corps runs on fuel, ammo, and chow. Marine Logistics Officers are the center of making sure these important materials make their way to Marines, Sailors. and partner-nation forces in need of support. These officers act as staff officers and commanders at every level. Logistics Officers are responsible for the discipline, morale, welfare, and employment of their unit's Marines. They act as lead planners for the transport and sourcing of a variety of materials needed to keep the MAGTF a prepared fighting force.
